Our Story

Uniquely Us was founded in 2025 . I was asked to run a craft course but I didn't expect it to be so popular, and I was genuinely shocked how popular it was. It was sold out so quickly and it took me a couple of weeks to get my head round it and I haven't looked back since.

My first session was so nerve racking and I made a few mistakes in the first 20 minuets , but after that I found my flow and have found a love in teaching. Now teaching a group is very different to teaching 1 to 1 but I soon adapted and I thoughrly love sharing the skills I've learnt over so many years. At first, I didn't realise how many skills I actually had until it came to planning courses, And I'm still learning new skills so I'm able to bring those to the courses.

Today, I normally have one crochet running back-to-back and two craft courses running back-to-back most of the time. I will throw in one- or two-week courses for specific things. I'm very flexible and try to offer what the majority of people would like to do, with a few twists and surprises of my own.

I'm a firm believer that everyone has the ability to craft, even those who feel they have no imagination. it comes in time. It's more about enjoying what you're doing, leaving whatever has happened during the day at the door and having the space to chill , and join like-minded people, where we have a good chat, laugh in a safe environment.

Joining a craft group is also a really good way of combatting loneliness in the community as well. It affects every age group, the young and elderly, men and women so it's also something I'm keen to help with.

I believe that creating something with your hands is one of the most fulfilling experiences in life. Join me to discover the crafter within you.
